How To Treat Fluid Filled Lump And Swollen Knuckle Caused After A Injury?
I punched an object and I did scrape some tissue off my right knuckle fairly deep but no stitches required, I let it heal however there was a lump. I had it drained recently and the fluid came back along with a bigger swollen knuckle the size of a larger marble. No breaks or fractures however it s large and embarrassing, will this ball on my knuckle go away or is surgery the next step? Thank you, Steven

Understanding your concern . As per your query you have got acne on your facial skin along with skin burn . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query but in your case the symptoms are due to traumatic injury there has been inflammation of the soft tissues and pain is due to inflammation while swelling is due to accumulation of inflammatory fluid into the soft tissues. As the fingers are moving and as there is reduced swelling and pain you need not to worry as there a not seems bony fracture. You can do cool compresses over the fingers. Take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen. In case if there is no improvement or if the symptoms worsen consult an Orthopedician and get evaluated. Doctor may drain the lump ,give splint and fix it .
