How To Treat Fever?

Dear Doctor, my son has fever 104f , dr has prescribed meftal p 100mg half tablet as a sos . since the fever is high even after two dosages of half tablet in last 8 hours & sponzing so can i give another half tablet. last dose was about 3 hours ago.

Hi, i have read your query.
You can give another half tablet along with cold water sponzing & plenty of water.
MEFTAL-P can be given upto 25 mg / kg of bodyweight daily, in 4 divided doses.Dose Should be decrease in liver disease.
