General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Hormonal changes like hypothyroidism should be ruled out. Autoimmune diseases like alopecia areata can also cause bald patches. Polycystic ovaries in female and androgenic alopecia in male should be ruled out.Healthy protein rich food, adequate hydration and multivitamin supplements should be taken.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
