How To Treat Diverticulitis?

I had an attack of diverticulitis and I am on fluids for a few days and antibiotics . I must slowly introduce whole grains in my diet. I look at a wholegrain diet , but the gas and bloating of the foods cant be good. I don t know what to do. Thank you so much.

Welcome at HCM
i have gone through your query and being your doctor I completely understand your health concerns...
What is ur age ? What were ur symptoms?
In my opinion if you have been diagnosed with diverticular disease you should follow your doctor"s instructions. Starting oral diet after a period of intravenous fluids shouldn't bother you much...
Continue with your oral medications and start oral diet. You should add fibre diet. You can use isphagol husk .it will help you. Avoid fast food and beverages..take one type of food at a time ....
Hope your query is adequately addressed
