How To Treat Diarrhoea With Stomach Cramps?

I have irregular bowel movements. I have severe stomach cramps followed by severe dihreeha until my intestinal tract is empty resulting in blood and mucous at the end. This happens about every 3 days. Any suggestions as to what it may be and how to treat?

Hello,

As per your complain you have a problem of diarrhea and abdominal cramps that may be because of ulcerative colitis or other reasons. Diverticulitis may cause blood in stool. Consult a gastroenterologist for further diagnosis. Stool examination test is helpful for further diagnosis. Colonoscopy can done if needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rachana Goswami
