How To Treat Constant Phlegm At The Back Of Throat?

Hi doctor, good day. I have the following symptoms and suffering for almost a year or two now. I have this constant phlegm at the back of the throat that I have to clear it all the time and I think is the cause of me having bad breath. I have experienced this after I ve suffered cough problems which was reoccurring for about a year. Maybe you can help me with some advises/ over the counter prescription. Thank you.

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to recurrent pharyngitis or tonsillitis. Oral hygiene is very important. You can brush twice daily. Gargling twice daily with warm water or warm saline is also helpful. Taking chewable vitamin c will be helpful also. Avoid taking cold food and drinks. Examination with an ENT specialist is well appreciated if there is no improvement.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
