How To Treat Chronic Vomiting In Children?

My 4 year old son is always vomiting since he was 2. If he was sick, had bad cough, he would vomit in bed after a couple hours sleep. If he felt sad or angry, he would start crying badly, then coughing then vomiting. Now he is truning to 4, he started to skip his afternoon nap. But if he did not sleep in the afternoon. He would be very tired and sleep earlier in the night. Then he would vomit after 1 hour he fell sleeping. In the pass 2 month, he was almost vomit 2 times a week.. I am really worried about him. Sometime, I felt his vomiting was imtemtional.

Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. I understand your concern. I have a few questions and will suggest few possibilities.

Questions:
1. What was the birth weight and what is the current weight
2. How is the attaining of developmental milestones
3. Is the stool oily and floats in the pan
4. Is there any color change in the hair or skin
5. Is there any history of recurrent serious infections or seizures?

Possibilities:
1. Could be an intentional vomiting for attention seeking, but occuring after sleep doesn't explain this.
2. GERD or gastroesophageal reflux is another possibility.

Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health.
