How To Treat Bumps In Pubic Region Due To Ingrown Hair?

After I had my last daughter, I have noticed several changes do my hair in general, but I had an ingrown hair in my pubic region and did all the necessary steps to take care of it, but it literally appeared as if my skin was pierced. I was alarmed, but it healed and all was fine. Tonight, the same thing happened and then I noticed a darker bump a little lower and as I attempted to maneuver to try to examine it, it fell off! It looked like it was encased in keratin or something, a bulb at one end. Not sure if I should make an extra trip to the gyno since I am scheduled in Dec. What do you think?
