How To Treat Brown Scar On Upper Lip After Getting Waxed?

Hi! I had a full face wax and I remember when I was having my upper lip waxed I felt a burning sensation and now there is a brown mark.It looks horrible I cant help but look at it in the mirror please can you advise me what should I do in order for it to disappear.Thanks a lot!!!Sana

Hi..
Can understand your concern..

As per your complain a dark mark after burning with wax caused at the time of waxing is "Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation"

You can apply a mild steroid ointment like 2.5% Hydrocortisone over the burn mark..

You can also apply ointment containing 2% Kojic acid and Vitamin C for lightening the dark mark..

In case if it does not resolve with these ointments then Gel Spot Glycolic Acid Peels can help..

In case if you have pain at the burn site you can use Over the counter painkiller like Ibuprofen..
