How To Treat Broken Blood Vessel Inside Wrist Leading To Swelling And Clotting?

I was carrying a handled bag this morning and the handle twisted around my wrist and with a movement just right for this to happen... I broke a blood vessel on the inside of my wrist. It instantly swelled, turned purple with all the blood inside but after a few hours of icing it, it appears much better though I think it will be weeks before it heals. Should I still see a doctor or is this type of injury common enough to trust it will heal fine on its own? Has it stopped bleeding inside (happened 5 hrs ago) THANK YOU!

Hi,
It seems that there might be having hematoma following injury.
Now as bleeding stopped and swelling is not increasing, nothing to worry.
Apply ice pack 2-3 times a day for 1-2 days.
Gradually blood will be absorbed and swelling will be subsided.
Ok and take care.
