How To Treat Bone Fragments After Tooth Extraction?
had a tooth extraction one week ago today. I have not had a minute when I have not been in pain. There are bone slivers stick through my gum on the inside which tears my tongue to pieces. I cannot eat and even speaking is painful is there anything I can do. I returned to the oral surgeon today and instead of filing down the bones he gave me more penicillin
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that after extraction the Dentist has not trimmed off the sharp edges of the bone and it has led to sticking out of the bony edges from the gums causing laceration of the tongue and pain in speaking and eating...
Taking Penicillin will not solve the problem and you need to get the bone trimmed.. Consult another dentist and get it trimmed and smoothed if your dentist is reluctant s till it is present it will not resolve your problem..
You can as of now apply a numbing gel containing Lignocaine over the area of tongue that is painful and take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen...
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
