How To Treat Blisters, Redness And Bumps On The Skin Caused Due To An Injury?

I fell on the sidewalk and got bad road rash. Now there are blisters surrounding the wounds, extreme itchiness and leakage. I put polysporin on the road rashes for the first few days but then that s when I noticed the blisters. My one road rash looks like a rash, full of bumps and red and very irritated. What should I do/put on the road rash?

Hello
Thanks for the query.
Probably you have developed allergy to polysporin.
Apply a mild steroid cream like cortisone twice daily for three days.
This will reduce the blisters and itch.
Once these symptoms subside you can use a broad spectrum antibiotic cream like mupirocine twice daily for a week.
This should help you.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thanks.
