Hello,

As what I see from history if that you have a neck sprain. Now neck sprain can be get associated with trapezius muscle spasm, paraspinal muscle spasm or intervertebral disc degenerative changes.

We say in general about neck sprain but it is sometimes not the case. Having a good physical examination and if you are aged above 25 then MRI can help assess much better the overall complaint of why the cause is.

Coming to the treatment part. First foremost this you should do is taking hot water fermentation and use the cervical collar.

Both of this helps to reduce the pain and stabilize the neck. Post a week you can slowly start free neck exercises and later on strengthening exercise.

In my clinical practice of 12 years, many cases reported to neck sprain are better with physical examination and conservative management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
