How To Treat A Itchy Lump On Forehead Caused After A Head Injury?

Hi. 15-20 years ago I went headfirst down about 12 stairs and headfirst into a concrete wall. From that, I have a lump on my forehead above my right eye. It never goes away. Sometimes it becomes itchy and more prominent. Someone suggested the bone is now deformed. It certainly is permanent. My question is: would it have had any effect on any brain function within?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
any damage to skull in the forebain will affect the frontal lobe of the brain.and it would produce characteristic symptoms like affecting memory, language problems, emotional problems, sexual behaviours etc. if these symptoms didnt happened 15-20 years a ago,it is least likely that it will happen now. but if symptoms of severe headaches and vomitings develop in future i advice u to take a ct scan brain to find out if the bony lesion is compressing the brain.consult a neurologist for further action.
