How To Treat A Chalazion Without Any Surgery?

Hello. I would like to know how to remove a stye/chalazion without surgery. Mine is medium sized (smaller than a Skittle) under or inside the upper eyelid. I have had it for 4 1/2 weeks. To treat the stye/chalazion, I have applied a warm compress 3-5 times daily and lightly massage it with antibiotic ointment using clean hands. The stye/ chalazion has slightly reduced its size, about 5 percent of what it was originally, but now it has remained stagnant and does not seem to be diminishing. Am I being impatient? Besides surgery or an injection, what other treatment can I use to help the stye/chalazion to drain? How long might it take to see results?

Hello,

Surgical removal is the best treatment for chalazion. If the size is small, you can try for warm compresses and the swelling will resolve by itself.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
