How To Treat A Bug Bite That Is Swollen, Hard And Painful?

My daughter received a possible bug bite on her leg yesterday. It is swellen, hard and painful. The area which is red is about 3 inches wide. No other symtoms are being experienced. Can she wait to see doctor until she arrives back in town in another day?

Hi,
From history it seems that she might be having allergic rash due to bug bite.
Ask her to take antihistamine like Cetrizine or Benadryl before she arrives back.
After she comes, if there is still soreness or pain, consult your doctor and get examined.
