How To Treat Kluver-Bucy Syndrome?

A friend's son was rushed to the hospital a week ago due to delirium following the flu. He has been in the hospital for over a week now without a diagnosis. He is agitated, hypersexual, wants to eat alot, cannot recognize some people as real. He now has to have a male "guard" in the room at all times to assist the female nurses because he grabs at them & makes sexual advances. He has intermitent massive headaches, a low grade fever and also intermitent periods of normalcy. After researching on the internet we have come up with Kluver-Bucy Syndrome but cannot get anyone at the hospital to move faster than a snail. How serious is this syndrome and also, any suggestions or whatelse it might be would be appreciated.
