How to transport a urine sample when you live more than 30 minutes away? Dad needs test for kidney function, and was unable to urinate at the clinic today, so they gave us a cup to take home, and bring tomorrow, but said we need to get it there in 30 minutes. I asked if we put it in the fridge when he goes, and she said no, it has to be a fresh sample, and needs to be there in 30 minutes time.....but at the same time, I asked what do we do when we get there if there are a lot of people in the waiting room, and she said to sign in, and she'd call us in order. If it is so urgent to get it there asap, why make us wait??? So, please, what is the best way to transport it so the results will be accurate?
