How To Test For Pregnancy?

My periods sometimes skip a month, and this time it did skip a month, it is all normal for me. But i had unprotected sex on the 4th day of my periods which last for 5-6 days. Any chance that i may get pregnant? I am not on pills. Also the regular 28-32 days of menstrual cycle doesn t work for me.

Hi,

You had done sexual intercourse on fourth day of menstruation. The first 7-8 days of period is considered to be safe period to prevent pregnancy.

However you have delayed period for long time. So rule out pregnancy by urine hcg card test. If pregnancy negative then to induce your period Deviry tablet for five days can be prescribed.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
