How To Test For HIV?

Dr. i did a hiv test and is positive.I later did a rapid test by the help of a nurse and show one bold line and two faded lines.What does that mean? does it also mean positive? do i need to do a confirmation test or would also come out as positive? positive result from two test, are confirmatory is it?

It all depends on which test you performed.but generaly rapid card test is primary test. You should confirm it by elisa test or western blot test for confifmation. Mostly it will be positive but sometime false positive result may bethere so go for confirmatory test and if come positive go for CD 4 count. And then after do regular CD 4 count check up. And if required start ART asper doctor adadvice
