Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi, I value your concern regarding the symptoms. I have gone through your symptoms, and in my opinion you are doing it right do not worry, keep it dry , dress it and let it heal the wound normally heal in 10 days and in your case since its on foot and not on rest the time may be a bit prolonged. keeping clean is must and see that it does not get infected.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
Special note- Any medication prescribed needs to be taken after consultation with your personal doctor only.
