How To Stop Prolonged Vaginal Spotting?
Hello Dr I was diagnosed with pcos however My 6th months of medication ended dec 2014. (I was taking qlaira and glucophage) Then I was advised to stop for 2 months and proceed if i dont have period yet. Although I know it is over due by 3 months and I left the country I followed the previous prescription of taking provera or duphaston 10 mg twice a day for 5 days . So I could start bleeding and start the pill. On the 11th day I started to have spotting athe same time I started taking with yaz (28 pill) however It is passed 1 week and i still have spotting how will my spotting stop? thank you

The vaginal spotting while on OC pills may be of concern with chronic vaginal or cervical infection. My guidelines for better management:
- Keep best care of vaginal hygiene
- Vaginal douching with lukewarm water sitz bath added epsom salt and lavender oil
- Wear loose, clean, cotton inner wears
- Avoid prolong use of similar tampons
- Avoid sexual intercourse if active
- Control of blood sugar, body weight
- Consume balanced nutritious diet
- Plenty of liquids to maintain hydration
- Avoid smoking or alcohol if consuming
- Get a culture swab done for the discharge to get culture sensitivity testing
