How To Rule Out A Concussion In A Toddler?

Hi my 5 1/2 month old baby was sitting on top of the dinning table (i was holding him) but somehow he fell to the front on the table and hit his forehead he cried for a bit and he got sleepy i tried to keep him awake but he fell asleep should i take him to the doctor? He has a tiny bump in his forehead above the eyebrow the hit sounded pretty loud and im worried please advice me something.

Hi,

Fall from a small height doesn’t cause many problems. The skull of kids are malleable and does not cause much damage to fall.

If he develops symptoms like vomiting or seizure you can opt for a CT scan. Otherwise, just observe him. You can apply icepacks for faster recovery.
