Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
I understand that you are having unwanted hairs on your chin and upper lip.
Before starting any procedure, it is important to rule out any underlying hormonal disorders.
You need to get a blood work up done which includes follicular stimulating hormone, leutinising hormone, serum
testosterone, serum
prolactin and serum cortisol levels. A pelvic
ultrasound to rule our
polycystic ovarian disease is also needed.
Any underlying abnormality needs to be addressed by a gynecologist/
endocrinologist.
If all the tests are normal, you could opt for laser hair reduction.
Diode/ Nd-yag and SHR type of lasers are currently being used by most dermatologists.
A minimum of 8 sessions at 4 weekly intervals is generally required.
Even if you have any hormonal imbalance, laser hair reduction can be done once you address the underlying problem.
The other less effective options include a cream containing Efflorithine and electrolysis.
Hope this helps you.
Take care.
