Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

In younger children the phlegm is swallowed or vomited after a bout of cough.

The loose motions in your child may be due to antibiotic associated or due to the infection.

Continue the medication as per the advise of pediatrician.

Give sips of oral rehydration solutions such as Pedialyte to maintain hydration of the child.

Oral probiotic and zinc will help to decrease the loose stools.

Consult the doctor for examination and medication.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
