How To Remove Extra Tooth Growing Underneath Another Tooth?

i was in pain today and went to the dentist and they told me that i have a extra tooth underneath of a tooth that looks like it is pushing it. It doesn t hurt when drink hot or cold water but eating and touching the teeths together is giving me discomfort. took the x ray and have to wait for 2 weeks. i feel like ripping the teeth out myself. will that cause infection

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain if you have an extra tooth or a supernumerary tooth growing just below another tooth, then due to pressure applied by that tooth over the already erupting tooth will cause severe pain,although it may not infect the erupted tooth bit it can lead to root resolution of the erupted tooth as well as can damage its nerve and blood supply and van make the erupted tooth non vital or dead..
But till this happen there can be severe pain and discomfort..
You should consult an Oral Surgeon and get evaluated and he can also take a full mouth x Ray known as ORTHOPANTOMOGRAM (OPG) to check for the closeness of tooth to nerve and the erupted tooth and can extract it surgically by cutting the bone..
As of now you can take a higher painkiller like Ultram (Tramadol)..
