How To Relieve Pain In Thigh Muscle Of The Operated Leg Post Hip Replacement Surgery?

I had total hip replacement surgery on Monday. Today is the second day home. I am experiencing pain in the form of spasms down the thigh muscle of the operated leg. I've taken my pain medication and it has not helped. I am not sure what to do to relieve the pain and more importantly if it is normal. thoughts?

Hip replacement is a painful surgery and specially first few days are quite distressing. Do not be worry about any complication as it is quite normal. You can adjust dose of pain killers after a talk with your doctor. I hope you are not having fever.
