How To Relieve Continuous Headache At The Back Of Head?

Now from past few days, I have continuous headache at backside of my head. I have average/good sleep, and my stress levels are now in control. I took Dispirin and it gave me relief for few hours, but again re-occurs.
My Brother-in-law also your patient (few months ago) gave me Prothiaden tablet at yesterday night. I had a good sleep, but again the headache started from morning and continues till now.

Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

I read carefully your question and would explain that your symptoms seem to be related to tension type headache or chronic daily headache.

Have you taken regularly painkillers?

I would recommend consulting with a neurologist for a careful physical exam, a cervical column X ray study (to exclude possible cervical spondylarthrosis) and some blood lab tests (complete blood count, inflammation tests).

You should discuss with him the possibility of starting an antidepressant like sertraline, paroxetine, amytriptiline, etc. as preventive therapy.

Hope to have been helpful!
Kind regards,
Dr. Aida
