How To Reduce Saliva Production While Having Cold And Swollen Throat?
I am clearly fighting off a cold, having had a sore, swollen throat and tingly sore lips for two days. This is nothing new, happens around 2 times a year on average. However this time there is something new. I am producing an awful lot of saliva. During the day this is no problem, but last night I didn t sleep a wink because my mouth would not stop producing saliva and so every time I lost consciousness I would choke on it and wake up coughing. How can I reduce the saliva production so that I can sleep?
In case of sore throat it would be difficult to swallow and hence saliva accumulates. Also due to inflammation too copious amount of saliva is produced. Salt warm water gargling shall help. Also syrup Ambroxol too reduces inflammation too some effect asking with anti histaminics. Throat losenzes like Strepsil too shall help.
Do let me know for any additional information anytime.
Take care
