Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Doc my 68 yr old husband has been experiencing excruciating rt lower rear gum pain. No teeth back there cant eat or drink and is diabetic. Was given tegratol to ease pain but makes him dopey and nasty. Stopped tegratol for one day and pain came back full force. Oral Surgeon says maybe ticdelaroux. Its horrible!! Any suggestions?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if this is not the neurological pain then it may not responds to "Tab Tegratol" if this is pure dental pain then it need to be treated with NSAID (Non Steroid Anti-inflammatory Drugs ) and best would be "Tab Ibuprofen with Acetaminophen" if this fail to bring the result then it need to be further investigated, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
