Hi,

I suggest you the following:

Continue taking medicines as prescribed by your doctor. Take Silymarin which is an antioxidant that protects the liver.

Eat fresh vegetables and fruitsEat low fat normal diet. Avoid alcohol, smoking, paracetamol, antibiotics and carbonated soft drinks. Avoid consuming too much salt and sodium-rich foods.

Avoid deep fried & junk foodsIncrease Vitamin D in your diet: soy milk, mushrooms, apples, eggs, fortified cereals, tofu, dairy products, cod liver oil, oysters and green leafy vegetables are good sources of vitamin D.

Don’t self medicate: Metabolizing drugs is too much work for the liver, hence having medicines not prescribed by a qualified physician can do more harm than good.

Exercise regularly: It reduces the stress on your liver and increases your energy levels. It also aids in preventing obesity which is a risk factor for liver diseases. Recheck liver enzymes after 6 to 8 weeks

Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
