Hi Doctor,
I am anand from south India, right from my childhood, i was suffering from sleeplessness, approached Physician and i was advised to go on with sleeping tabs, but i can sleep only for about 2 to 3 hours, and use to get tremers during day time,
one of my family doctor advised me to take a small amt of alcohol, after the years progressed the quantity has gone drastically from 1 peg to 7 or 8 pegs a day, for the past 12 years i am alcoholic, 3 years back during my health check up i was detected highlevel triglicerides 850 mgs, i was put on fibator, ecosprin, Bp reducing tabs, Dr advised me not to take alcohol, during this medication,
but i used it as usual, Dr advised me to meet him after 3 months when the medication started, but i never met him so far, with this last year july i had mild fever, i was detected jaundice, my total billirubin was 13.5%, creatinine 1.8 mgs, amylase 103 mgs , jaundice got recovered with herbal therapy, during this time i quit alcohol, and also the entire medication as directed by ayurvedic physician, after 4 months again i started alcohol, still continuing 6 pegs every day, even now my amylase level is 103 mgs, my LFT is normal, if i quit i wont be getting sleep, my Bp level going high 150/100, please advise me should i continue alcohol, or help me to the best way to quit, my age is 49 years,
