How To Put On Weight After Being Hospitalized For Kidney Failure?

Thanks my brother in law lost alot of weight because of a accident and while in hospital we found out he is in stage 4 of kindey failure, we have him on a renal diet but need to put some weight back on him too , he lost 30 lbs and was slim to start with. what we need to know is any advice to help him put weight back on.

He would need to restrict salt, potassium,phosphorus and protein use.

In terms of weight gain ,it would be best to consult a dietician for an exact dietary regimen for him.
In general he would need a high calorie diet to help with weight gain.
