How To Prevent Red Spots In Face From Scarring?

I recently chemical-burned my upper lip while trying to remove the hair with Veet. Now I have two conspicuous red spots on my face, which I have to cover with an unreasonable amount of make-up every time I leave the house. Will these scar? How long will they take to recover? How can I prevent any scarring? I really don t want to have to wear so much make-up for the rest of my life!

Hi
Scarring occurs depending on the depth of the wound and your skin type.
Normally scarring doesn't occur.
Start applying a steroid antibiotic combination like mometasone furoate and fusidic acid cream on the spots twice daily for 7-10 days and apply a high SPF sunscreen at intervals of 3-4 hours during the day time.
If they change colour and become hyperpigmented you need to use depigmenting creams to correct the colour but under a doctor's supervision.
