How To Prevent Hair Loss When Suffering From Type 2 Diabetes?
Hi, I was diagnosed with Type 2diabeties on 28th July 2014, Initially doctor put me on Galvus Met 50/1000 and Glemstar-2 and 1 and thereafter doc reduce it to Met 50/500 once in a day with Glemstar-2. Now my fasting is 95 and after meal is 110-115. I am taking this from last 2 months. Somehow from last two week I am observing an excessive hair loss. When I discuss it with doc, he replaced my Galvus Met 50/500 with Met500. Can you please advise me on how to prevent hair loss? and can I switch to Aurvidic med? Thanks and Regards, -Rohit Nagpal
Dear Rohit .. i suggest you NOT TO MISS THE MEDICINEs prescribed by your doctor... it s usual and normal phenomenon for males to have baldness because of testosterone ... unlikely due to diabetic medications ... you need to take good nutritious diet along with your metformin. please continue your medication and take good amount of green leafy vegetables to supplement the minerals needed for good hair... also good amount of proteins and if you are having dandruff use ketokanazole (SCALPE/NIZEROL) shampoo use hair oil regularly.. if you want meet ayurvaedic specialist and take supplement s for hair growth BUT NEVER STOP METFORMIN.. if hair loss continues you can meet skin specialist for further advice .. take care
