Hello,
Welcome to Health Care Magic.
I understand your concern. I am Dr Alok Sinha, MD Psychiatry from India. I will try to help you with best of my effort.
Firstly I must educate you a little about this problem.
Methamphetamine is a very potent addictive substance. It produces a false sense of well being, an increase in feelings of energy, confidence, and wakefulness for a small period of time. This is learnt by brain and the brains demands similar experience again and again, thus causing strong irresistible desire to take the substance repeatedly. This irresistible desire is commonly known as craving. After initial few uses the person become tolerant to the earlier doses and he/she requires higher doses to get the same desired effect on brain. Gradually the body becomes habituated to the effect of drugs and if the drug is not available to the body it experiences various withdrawal discomforts like mood swings, irritability, excessive sleep,
restlessness, decreased energy, teeth grinding,
night sweats, sadness of mood and suicidal ideations. Meth addiction is not only a habit rather it is an illness.
Due to all these reasons (craving and withdrawal discomfort) it is very difficult to withdraw from this drug.
This drug is absorbed in all body fluid and excreted through urine. That is why, the abuser girl you mentioned claims to have the similar smell at vagina.
I strongly suggest you to help this girl in taking professional services of a de-addiction or rehab center for cure of this illness.
Hope this answers your question. All the best.
