How To Get The Results Of A Biopsy?

Hi all it is is that I went for a biopsy in March I still haven t had my results back I phoned up my doctors to see if they had recived anything from the hospital where I had it done the doctors told me that they had not recived anything so therefore I phoned up the secretory of consulton who done my biopsy she then told me there was no written report after I had it done it s been 4 months now and still haven t heard a thing I have been told that there is nothing on screen about the results of my tests and nothing has been sent to my doctors either what shall I do thanks

Hi,
Looking at the history provided, I think your biopsy specimen report is not ready since march due to unknown factors.
You need to discuss this with your consultant to make sure the biopsy was done and it was sent with proper labeling and formalin fixative.
Once your consultant confirms, you can call the laboratory indicating the date, the specimen type and if possible biopsy no.
If they have not received or there were other problems like missing specimen, you need to discuss with consultant. You are under no direo contract with lab.
Biopsy is important for diagnostic purpose. Discuss with your consultant.
