How To Get Rid Of The Recurring Boils Between My Butt Cheeks?

Hello doctor, I get recurring boils between my butt cheeks. Sometimes in the same place. This is happening frequently for the past 3 months. Earlier I rarely had them. They are not too painful and they go away in maximum 5 days. I have been sexually active only for the past three months ie from the time I got married. I m worried as this is affecting my confidence since I m an extremely clean person and I have no clue why this is recurring. It s irritating to get these often. I don t apply any oinment. Please suggest something for me to get rid of these. Thanks

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

As per your case history of recurrent boils, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an NSAID like ibuprofen for 5-7 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like levofloxacin, cefadroxil, and azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
