How To Get Rid Of Sore Throat?

i have had sore throat for about a month now..for about a week though it was really bad,i had nausea, fever, sore throat,cough,mucus.. went to the doctor and they said it was bacterial sinus infection. gave me meds and i was feeling better for about 3days.. then the sore throat came back. now i have found a puss pocket on my gum. i popped it and a lot of puss came out and now it is bleeding. are the sore throat and puss pocket related?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, thanks for your query. In my opinion, you might be having bacteria streptococcal infection of throat. Pus pocket suggest severe infection. If I were your treating doctor, I would have prescribed penicillin antibiotics + anti inflammatory medicines like paracetamol + diclofenac combination drugs twice daily for 5 days. Hot saline gargling will be helpful. Thanks
