How To Get Rid Of Hairs Sticking Out Of Anus?

There was a piece of hair sticking out of my anus, I tried pulling it out but it was really uncomfortable and hurt. I have anxiety so I kinda started freaking out as this has never happened to me before... So I just left it, but will this cause a problem or will it just come out when I use the toilet? I have long hair so it must be stuck pretty good:/

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the hair at anal region may be indicative of underlying peri anal fistula with tuft of hair of Pilonidal sinus issue most likely. It is not going to come out of way on its own and you have to consult your primary care who may assist further if the consultant surgeon reference is needed or not for the same.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
