How To Get Rid Of Fungal Infection On Inner Wrist?

I have had a fungal infection on my inner wrist for almost a year. I ve used perscribed ointment by my doctor twice as long as recommended and after trying iodine and covering it from the air with nail polish for an extended length of time, it seems to be still widening. I ve also used Canesten recommended by pharmacy. What else can I do to rid myself of this curse?

Hi,
Was it like responding to the antifungals and then relapsing or was there no response at all? Any other medical problems..are you diabetic? Are there skin lesions elsewhere?Would suggest confirming that it is a fungal infection first. This can be done easily by the dermatologist by a simple office procedure known as a potassium hydroxide smear..and you get the results immediately. if it is indeed a fungal infection, the next best step would be to take a course of oral antifungal tablets. Either way I doubt it is anything serious, however would advise you to meet up with a dermatologist soon to get the issue cleared. Hope this helps.
