How To Get Rid Of Food Stuck In The Throat Causing Irritation?

I have a hard fruit skin stuck in the back of my throat tried olive oil, water, bread but could not dislodge it. It is not interfering with my breath or swallow but the sensation is driving me crazy, what shall I do to get rid of it. Thanks for your help

Hi,

Understanding your concern.

As per your query you have symptoms of hard food stuck in the throat which is giving you symptoms of foreign body entrance and leading to accumulation of bacteria and other microorganisms in that area. Due to this accumulation chances of obstruction are there. Is difficult to get it removed with water. I would suggest you visit immediately Gastroenterologist or ENT surgeon for the same. Get fiber optic scan done. Small non-invasive fiber optic procedure will remove this piece which is stuck in your throat. This is a little alarming condition which you should not be careless about.
