General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Cremaffin is a laxative drug it will obviously increase the frequency of bowel movements. You can gradually taper the dose of the syrup. Once the constipation is settled, you can stop the syrup and try foods with high fiber content instead.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
