How To Get Rid Of A Hard Bump On Face Due To A Fall?
I had a bad fall and fell on my face on a concrete. There was swelling on my left side of the face over the eye brow. Applied ice and it reduced. Now i see a small hard bump very prominent after 2 weeks. what could be this. How to get rid of this . can you please help.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain a hard bump at the site of injury can occur due to Hematoma formation secondary to injury as due to injury the blood vessels gets ruptured leading to spillage of blood into the soft tissues leading to formation of a Hematoma and many a times it gets localized and firm due to encapsulation with dead tissue fibres, inflammatory cells and exudate, and there is formation of a firm lump that can take a long time to resolve.. You can do alternate warm and cool compresses over it.. Apply Heparin containing gel for faster disintegration of the Hematoma.Of there is pain you can apply topical analgesic and take Tylenol..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
