How To Get Cured From A Prolonged Cough Causing Body Ache And Vomiting?

I have been having a cough now for about 2 months, maybe longer. For the past few days when I take a deep breath I get a sharp tickling pain and start coughing really bad. it worse at night. And for the past 2 days my body has been aching and now I'm shaking cause I'm cold, even though I'm boundled up. My coughing is getting so bad now that I have almost vomited. What do u think it is and should I go to the er

Hi,
A two months long cough needs a full physical examination & investigations like complete blood work,X ray chest, sputum test -as per indication.
It can be allergic,infective(Viral/bacterial)- giving rise to fever with shivering, body ache & cough.
I would advice you to visit IR & also consult a physician for a careful diagnosis & treatment.
