Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...hi,im nearly 39,ive had a 2nd colopscopy yesterday as

ive had abnormal smear test results.They said

that my cervix had closed and the biopsy and smear was likely to come back as unsuccessful.What happens now and what does this mean? mant thanks.

Closure of cervix is called cervical stenosis which can occur after cervical procedures or around menopause because the tissues in the cervix thin however rarely cancer may also cause the closure.
The opening of the cervix can be widened to relieve symptoms.Cervical stenosis is treated only if women have symptoms or who have dysplasia.cervix is widened (dilated) by inserting dilators or placement of a tube (cervical stent) in the cervix may be done for 4 to 6 weeks.Hope this helps you!Take care!
