How To Gain Body Weight?

I am 21 years male. Height 5.6 feet tall, Indian. My weight is only 45kgs. I am very skinny.My cheeks got sunken giving me sick appearance.My father and my elder brother are also very skinny, but my mom is fat. I want to gain weight. I want to weigh at-least 60-65 kgs. My appetite is ok-ok. I eat well. But whatever I eat doesnt add mass or fat to my body. I want to gain mass or fat or both. Please help.

Thanks for posting your question to HCM.

For your query, I would recommend some things to make them a lifestyle.
1) Eat a healthy diet. Meaning, several meals during day, with main component the proteins, and less of carbs and fat, fruits and vegetables should be a main component of your meals, avoid smoking, drugs and alcohol.
2) Exercise regularely. Start with at least 20 min a day, for 5 days a week. Progressively you should add strength exercise, that will strengthen and make muscles evident in your body, which will result in weight gain.
3) Patience. Will need at least 80 days to you see the result of your hard work in exercise and weight gain. by that time, gym will be your favorite time to spend for yourself.
