Hi Dear
Welcome to the HCM,
Giving water is not advisable at this age .

Continuous and gradual weight gain is the best indicator for the adequate supply of the breast milk. Ideally babies do gain weight 15 to 30 grams per days for first three months.

Along with capsule lactare one can also try taking tab perinorm tds for about 20 days . It enhances little bit of lactation,

Plenty of fluids and ample amount of pulses to be taken by the nursing mothers. It is the raw material for the breast milk.

Effective suckilng of the breast by the baby is the best stimulus for the lactation stimulation, should be done atleast two hourly basis.

If the baby is really loosing weight or not gaining weight adequately in spite of all measures , then one can supplement the baby with top feed milk by spoon and bowl only ( avoid bottle) Bottle will decrease the suckling of the breast and further decrease the lactation.
hope the query is answered.
thanks
