How To Dissolve Clot On Child's Cheek After Injury?

My daughter (4yrs) fell on the edge of the window sill and hurt her cheecks badly. Although there were no cuts, it swelled badly and bruised days later. Its been 5weeks now and it has left a hard clot inside her cheek. Although it doesnt hurt anymore, the clot makes her cheek look dented whenever she smiles. It really is very worrying and has disfigured my pretty girls face. What can be done medically to dissolve it

Hello
Welcome to healthcaremagic
There is no medicine to dissolve clot. You can give seratiopeptidase containing tablet after consulting your doctor.it helps in early breakdown of clot. You can apply ice over it.Apply thrombophobe ointment over it.It takes 14-45 days for it to disappear. If it becomes tender or increases in size then show to surgeon immediately .Because it indicates infected hematoma which can convert into abcess.
