How To Differentiate Between Scabies And Symmetrical Dermatitis?

the doc thinks I have symmetrical dermatitis but has also mentioned scabies but I cant see ant sign of scabies and haven t been in any situation where I could have picked them up, as I ahvent been anywhere or done anything to warrant getting them. however the rash is in keeping with what I read about the dermatitis, so how can I tell what one it is as I am in middle of having blood test and swabs done. I also have a niece with coelic disease which makes me think its dermatis

Hello dear,
Welcome to HCM.
I have read your query and understood your concern.

Scabies is characterised by itchy vesicles, papules or excoriated papules usually involving axilla, interdigital webspace, periumbilical area, upper thighs and genitalia in males. Itch aggravates in night time. There is usually positive family history.

Dermatitis is characterised by itchy oozy to dry to thickened raised lesions depending on stage of disease. There is continuous itch with no specific night aggravation.
As per details, this is my best advise for you. You may discuss this with your treating doctor.
If you have any further query, you may ask me.
Good luck.
